I was deeply honored that Ann “Gebby” McDonald and her husband Sandy attended the final performance of The Spoon River Project at Green-Wood Cemetery on June 24, 2011. Ann is the Granddaughter of Edgar Lee Masters. She wrote me the following and has allowed me to post it here:

Dear Tom, Thank you and all the cast and musicians of The Spoon River Project for a marvelous rendition of many wonderful Spoon River Anthology poems. Every one of the actors were superb in the parts they portrayed of those great old characters. The setting in Green-Wood Cemetery made a fabulous stage. The costumes were just perfect. The music selection was so appropriate. Thank you so much for a most enjoyable afternoon, and in welcoming me, on behalf of the Master's family, so graciously. I hope you continue to have success with the show. |
